Benefits of using Garmin Livescope Plus LVS34 for fishing
Panoptix Livescope
By utilizing Panoptix Livescope, you have the ability to observe the structure, cover, and fish located ahead of the boat. This allows you to accurately cast towards areas with a high likelihood of bass hiding. Without the aid of Panoptix Livescope, it would have been unlikely for you to have discovered that particular piece of cover.
By using Livescope, you have the ability to observe the current activities of fish. This technology allows you to witness how fish respond to your bait, determine the presence of smaller fish nearby, identify if larger fish are trailing your bait, and even detect when fish attempt to strike at the lure. Having this real-time information at your disposal enables you to make subtle modifications to your fishing approach in order to increase your chances of catching more fish.
Observing the movements of your bait underwater enables you to gain insights into the behavior of the fish. It allows you to determine if your lure is positioned correctly, assess the maximum depth reached by your crankbait, and ascertain whether your jig is staying close to the bottom when you intend to drag it. Having access to this information empowers you to make necessary adjustments to prolong the time your lure remains within the optimal striking range.

How to use Garmin Livescope Plus LVS34 effectively - Tips and tricks for maximizing the potential LVS34 Plus
You guys have all heard of Livesdope by now obviously, but in 2022 Garmin came out with the new and improved version Livescope Plus and they have a new transducer called LVS34. Previously there was the 32 which was awesome.
Garmin knocked it out of the park - Its absolutely phenomal Lets look at set up settings
Let's dig into the unit The first thing Ito do - hit menu and then sonar setup then we're going to go through each one of these settings - okay so we're gonna start with the Appearance. Under appearance you got - color scheme, color gains, color limits, trails, and bottom fill. Play around with different color schemes - Floodlight is what Mark has setup on his unit.
Then go into color gain. Color gain is very important! Of course that's something you're going to play with. We suggest running color gain minimal on 80% right up to 90%.
it's a little bit tonight I'm gonna go then we have to go back into menu this on sonar setup again.
Lets go to Layout. Layout you have the grid overlay, scroll history, on screen control, reverse range and compress range. Some people prefer the grid overlay. Its simple to turn off really quick if you dont like it.
Noise reject - off, low, medium, high. Its common to keep noise reject on medium. Simply select the option. Go back TVG off, Ghost reject is on auto but you can turn that off too just for clarity of the unit.
On the front screen I want to show you guys something so you have how far out your units and then you have your gain obviously you're sensitivity - very very important. Start off somewhere between 65 and 70. You can turn that up towards really really hot. (what I mean by that is you'll start seeing all the clutter in the screen and as put it in the water you can back it down till the unit gets crystal clear
what I've done differently since I've been playing with livescope over the years is I found that selecting that's appropriate for fishing is far better than running the unit on Auto in terms of how deep it's reading. You can adjust the feet/depth measurement of how deep the transducer is. So if your fishing in 10 foot of water, you dont want it on 30 foot or Auto becuse its constantly adjusting itself on Auto. If you set it and lock it in at 15 feet of water and your in 10 foot of water, the results are very crisp image returns. So make sure you lock in the depth that's appropriate to what your fishing.
That pretty much summarizes the tips for the Garmin plus LVS34.
