Installation Terms & Conditions

These Installation Terms apply to all marine electronics consultation, supply, installation, servicing and commissioning work carried out by Shotgun Marine Services ("we", "our", "us").

1. Scope of Work

All installations are carried out based on agreed quotations or written scope of works. Any variation to the agreed scope may incur additional charges.

2. Deposits

A deposit may be required prior to ordering equipment or scheduling installation. Deposits secure parts, labour allocation and workshop time.

Deposits are non-refundable once equipment has been ordered specifically for your vessel.

Deposits & Booking Allocation

Installation bookings are secured upon receipt of deposit. Workshop time is allocated specifically to your vessel. Cancellation within 7 days of scheduled installation may incur labour charges.

3. Vessel Responsibility

The vessel owner is responsible for ensuring the vessel is seaworthy and safe to work on at the time of installation.

Access to batteries, wiring, helm areas and mounting surfaces must be clear and accessible.

4. Electrical & Structural Conditions

Existing wiring, battery systems or structural mounting points may require upgrades to support new marine electronics. Additional labour or parts may be required where existing systems are unsuitable.

5. Commissioning & Calibration

Marine electronics require proper commissioning and calibration. Performance is dependent on correct installation and vessel setup.

On-water testing may be recommended to ensure optimal operation.

6. Manufacturer Warranty

All equipment supplied is covered by the respective manufacturer’s warranty. Warranty claims are subject to manufacturer terms and conditions.

Installation workmanship is covered in accordance with Australian Consumer Law.

7. Performance Disclaimer

Marine electronics performance may vary based on vessel type, sea conditions, installation environment and user operation.

8. Payment Terms

Final payment is due upon completion of installation unless otherwise agreed in writing.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted under Australian law, Shotgun Marine Services is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from installation or equipment performance.

10. Acceptance

By proceeding with installation work, the vessel owner acknowledges acceptance of these Installation Terms.
