Australia-Wide Marine Electronics Technical Consultation

Upgrading marine electronics or chasing ongoing issues with your setup?

Shotgun Marine provides consultation-led advice for boat owners who want experienced, specialist guidance - not guesswork or generic recommendations

Shotgun Marine provides expert marine electronics technical consultations Australia-wide for boat owners who want their systems designed properly before buying or installing anything.

You don’t need to be local to get good advice. Many of our customers are based interstate, in remote areas, or simply want things done right the first time.

Consult First. Buy Once. Set It Up Properly.

Marine electronics aren’t a one-size-fits-all job. Boat type, how you use it, power supply, transducer choice, mounting locations and network setup all matter.

Our technical consultation process is designed to assess your setup properly, then recommend a system that suits your boat, your style of

boating and the conditions you run in.

Consultations can be done via phone, video or email, depending on what works best for you.

Australia-Wide System Design & Equipment Supply

Once your system is designed, Shotgun Marine can supply the complete electronics package and ship it

anywhere in Australia.

We don’t just send boxes. Systems are specified properly to ensure compatibility across displays, sonar, radar, autopilot and networking - so you don’t get caught out mid-install.

This approach avoids expensive mistakes and makes installation far smoother, wherever you’re located.

Installation Options

If you’re located on the NSW Mid North Coast, installations are carried out by our authorised installation partner Port Macquarie Marine Services (PMMS).

For customers outside our local service areas, we can:

  • Work alongside your local marine electrician or installer
  • Provide system diagrams and setup guidance
  • Offer ongoing technical support during installation

That way, your system is installed correctly — even when we’re not physically on site.

Why a Technical Consultation Is Worth It

  • Avoid buying incompatible electronics
  • Get the right sonar and transducer for your boat
  • Design systems around how you actually use the boat
  • Reduce installation issues and downtime
  • Protect manufacturer warranties
